KWL European warehousing & logistics signs again contract with US manufacturer of medical devices and healthcare supplies

Ulestraten, October 25, 2016 - KWL European Warehousing & Logistics BV, a specialist in European medical logistics and fulfillment, has signed again a multi-year contract with a US manufacturer of medical  devices and healthcare supplies. For the Dutch logistics company, based near Maastricht Aachen Airport in the Netherlands, this is the 3rd new customer from the medical industry in a short time.

Since July 2016 KWL European warehousing & logistics services their new US relationship with receipt, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment and European distribution of medical devices and supplies to their patients, clinics and doctors in Germany,  Austria and Switzerland. The rest of Europe will follow in 2017.

European logistics services with added value

Via an existing relationship in the medical sector, KWL was approached in June 2016 by the US Company. This US manufacturer selected within one week after the 1st contact KWL as their European logistics provider. "International companies have a need for personalized, flexible, integrated logistics solutions that make a significant contribution to the growth and development of their European sales. We position ourselves as the local European logistics extension of the commercial service chain of our international customers. The new customer was already negotiating with other European logistics service providers for the logistics fulfillment of their European sales orders. However, those service proposals did not meet the pre-set expectations.  According to Jinder Hug-Wong of the Business Development department, the choice for KWL was quickly made. Maastricht as your Dutch European Distribution center

In the global medical sector, the Dutch Maastricht region is widely known because of the local presence of large medical companies such as Abbott, Medtronic, Boston and Merit Medical.  The Netherlands is also becoming more and more familiar at foreign companies who want to expand their business in Europe. Also thanks to the promotional efforts abroad by Dutch governmental organizations such as LIOF, RVO, NDL and NFIA. "Lately, we see more and more foreign newcomers establish their fiscal/legal headquarters in Amsterdam or The Hague and their logistic distribution center in the South of the Netherlands. In that way they take full advantage of both locations," said Louis Coenders.
